About our Cabin

We are very fortunate to offer you a wonderful rental on the Lake with awesome views of Saddleback Mountain. An exclusive and most-private four-season log cabin with over five acres of pure privacy and almost 1,000 feet of private shore front including your own private beach. Many lake and mountain views from within and around the cabin. This can be your quintessential Maine vacation experience.

Saddleback Lake is Motor-free all year long.  No motor-boats in summer and no buzzing sleds in winter.  The lake is a mile or so across and is shallow which means it warms up quickly for great swimming.  This also means its a safe lake with wind not being as problematic as the larger lakes around Rangeley.  Great canoeing and kayaking.  Spectacular moose sightings.  Listen to the call of loons across the lake.  Watch for Eagles, Osprey, King Fisher, Owls, Great Blue Herons.  Wildlife galore!

We are Pet-friendly.

100% Cedar log home built by Ward Log Homes of Houlton Maine.  Open floorplan with living, dining and kitchen in one wonderfully large great room and then 2-bedroooms with queen beds and a full bathroom downstairs.  Upstairs we have a large loft-bedroom upstairs with 3 twin beds and one-half bath.

We have a fully equipped kitchen.  If you love to cook then you’ll b e very happy.  Gas burners, electric convection oven, dishwasher, plenty of great pots, pans and serving dishes, coffee maker, blender, and right outside on the covered porch a 4-season webber gas-grill

Also upstairs, on the other side, away from the bedrooms, is a TV area with Direct TV Satellite.  We have XM/Sirius Satellite Radio all throughout the cabin.  And finally, as of November 2010, we have wifi ( it’s pretty fast) internet service at the cabin

Downstairs we have a fully finished basement.  Couches surround an additional Direct TV.  Nice Foosball table for the competitive ones.  And all around the cabin, especially in the basement we have loads of games and books to occupy your time. New Washer and Dryer for your convenience.

You have your own private beach with 2 Canoes, 2 Kayaks, 10×10 float, and small dock!  Excellent fishing but please no live bait – lures and flies only.  Down our driveway and across the cove is Saddleback Lake Lodge where there is tennis courts and a very large all sandy beach that you can also enjoy.  They also have additional canoes and row-boats that you can use

We normally limit the numbers of renters to 7. Pets are welcome!

Available for $2,000 per week or $300 per night. You deserve peace, quiet and a bit of luxury on your hard earned vacation.
